Join us for a 3 day/3 night coastal offroad camping adventure. Here we will get to experience some of the more isolated hidden beauty of the south west, where you will get to drive an array of gravel roads, 2 wheel coastal tracks, beautiful beaches and massive sand dunes.
On our journey we will encounter many forests, forever changing bushland, inland lakes, rocky coastlines, and drive amazing beaches.
We will also access the bitumen for fuel and to check out a few tourist spots in the area.
Come prepared as there may be an opportunity to cast a line or make a splash in one of the rivers or lakes.
Please note: No pets allowed as we will be travelling through national parks.
3 Day Adventure
Itineraries
Day 1
Let the Adventure begin
Or journey starts near Augusta, we will then head south/east to air down and hit the tracks towards Black point and Surfers cove, then follow the tracks to Jasper beach, and then enter the forest as we head to Lake Jasper before setting up our overnight camp.
Day 2
Pemberton
Time to cross the Donnelly river and then take in some sights on our way to Pemberton. Here we can fuel up, grab a pie at the bakery and head back into the bush to visit the Dave Evans Bicentennial tree. From here we head to the Yeagerup air down area before hitting the famous Yeagerup dunes as head for the beach and on to the mouth of the Warren river in the hope of crossing past it to then take up the challenge of the sand dune that is Callcup hill (Nicknamed “The Widowmaker”).
Then we head back into the forest for our overnight camp.
Day 3
Windy harbour
Mother nature will have a say in todays itinerary as one can never know whether the Warren river will be passable by sand, but it will definitely include plenty of challenging and exciting beach driving as we work our way towards Windy harbour before continuing along the coast to our final overnight camp at Gardner river.
